And Furthermore…

Right.  I haven’t been around in months.  And will likely be scarce for a while longer.

Handy-Dandy bullet list of the latest and greatest happenings around this place:

  • New job.  Finally had to stop the insanity of being gone all the time.  Was running in circles and going bat-shit crazy.
  • New home.  Yah, with the new job came ALOT less money.  We ended up losing our home and having to move.
  • This is why I’m scarce.  We moved to a po-dunker county in the hills (literally).  Not that this is a bad thing, but they ain’t go that danged ol DSL yet.  Ech.
  • My kids have flown the coop.  They call and write but in order to lay eyes on them, I must travel 45 miles one way, up hill both ways to see them.

I’ll be back as soon as Bell South/ATT get off their asses and add us t civilization and get DSL in our neck of these here hills.

Hugs to all y’all.

  1. Oh no! You lost your house! I am so devastated to hear that. I really hope things look up for you soon. At least the kids are outta the house right?!

  2. Sorry to hear things have been hectic. I hope you get your DSL soon! I’ve missed you!

  3. Darn diva, thanks for sticking your head out for a bit to at least say hi to us. Happy to know you are alive. lol I really miss you and your wonderful posts and hope to have you back with us soon. As for losing a house I know for many that has been a blessing in disguise. (((Hugs!)))

  4. That’s a lot of major changes. I hope they’re for the better – there are more important things than money. Add me to the list of people who are eager for you to get a decent internet connection. If you need us to sign a petition…

  5. Good to see you back, but sad to see that the hectic tiimes have been hard ones. One of the satellite TV services (like Dish or DirectTV) offer a sort of satellite version of DSL-type swiftness. I know because my sister was trapped in dial-up territory for years. The cable company didn’t go that far up the hill and the phone company didn’t offer DSL that far up the hill either. The phone company came through in the end, but she kept calling them to ask when they were going to offer the full range of services in her area. I think the calling helps.

I kind of miss living in po-dunk. Po-dunk was much more peaceful (even though we had to travel like gas-guzzling gasaholics to get anywhere). Besides, out there, the kinds of snakes I ran into were the kind it was legal to kill. ;)

  6. Congrats on the new job, but so sorry that you lost your house because of it. I get so scare of that with this economy. Ya never know what’s going to go on. Keep your head up! And get on ATT’s ass!!
